Adapted from a vintage recipe card!

4 chicken thighs, with bone
Salt
Black pepper
Garlic powder
Dried oregano
2 tbsp. vegetable oil
1/2 lb. Kielbasa, 1/2" slices
1 onion, chopped
1 green bell pepper, sliced
2 cup beef broth
8 oz. tomato sauce
1 cup uncooked yellow rice
3/4 cup water
1/2 lb. shrimp
1 cup frozen green peas

1) Remove skin from chicken and rub chicken with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and
oregano. Brown chicken in oil in a large pot.
2) Add kielbasa, onion, and green pepper. Cook over low heat for 10 minutes.
3) Stir in beef broth and tomato sauce. Cover and simmer for 20 minutes.
4) Stir in rice and water, cover and simmer 30 minutes. Add shrimp and peas, heat
through and serve.
